Critical Point vs Critical Zone Control

Praecis offers temperature control at a single point or in a specified work zone.

Critical Point control is appropriate when the zone is uniform.

  • The process activity is small and localized.

  • Measured temperatures at different locations in the immediate work zone move together (no meaningful gradients).

Critical Zone control when results drift even though CP looks stable.

  • The process spans area or volume.

  • Temperature gradients with the active work zone drive residual error..

A Praecis ATCU-2 manages the climate
in a table-top enclosure housing a measuring device.
